I started a new oil painting at Free Model group then went to a workshop with Craig Srebnik last weekend and am now rethinking much of what I do. He is all about paintings being "evocative" realism and perhaps that is what I am missing. I really like his work...go see him at www.csfineart.com... and hope to study with him again. I am posting these starts and will update when I go back to them.
