Took a cruise to the Caribbean

And painted while traveling for the first time in years!  There were long times on the boat....really nice.....the Irish captain is an artist and we talked of how he painted during his free times.....

Mostly did watercolors as they are so portable and I will always take my little travel pack on future travels.  Not much of real value painted but it felt good to spend time at something fun.  I like my little sketch book and the watercolors paints make the sketches better.

Getting ready for the next trip to Japan....so excited and wonder if I will find painting time as this is not a cruise....one of hubby's more typical plans.
Mostly painted islands from the deck of the ship.   We did a sailboat on the Windstar.  It was much better in some ways than the regular boats but still a cruise......

Kate at Cafe Bienville

Kate was our model today at our Cafe Bienville Artists group.  It is great to have a few more painting days before we depart again.  The Canadian Maritimes were wonderful....Scandinavia should be perfect!  And Florida will be nice again by the time we return!

Glad to be back!

Florida in the summer is challenging.  We escaped for three weeks to the Canadian Maritimes and adored the weather, the countryside, and the people.

I was happy to return to my art buddies....plein air painting at Hogtown bayou and Gail at Cafe Bienville....
