March 2025

Always surprised to see how much time has passed and how many paintings I have done between posts.

We returned from Portugal, where I took way too many photos and enjoyed it very much!  I really loved the holiday tutorials online with James Julier and continue to learn new skills with digital art on the IPad. I recently did a watercolor when a friend asked if I could transfer those skills back to traditional mediums.  But my real love now is the IPad...so portable...I can draw and paint anywhere! I do miss mixing oil paints, however!

We are getting ready for another adventure....back to Japan for the 3rd time!  We will be there for the cherry blossoms and I can't wait!  Leisurely traveling for a month to some cities we have missed in one of my favorite countries.

We will be celebrating Dear Hubby's 75th birthday and his 6 year perfect scan!  All is well and thanks for checking my blog!

Darling son at one of his many fav spots.

October 2024 Updates

Since the last posting, we had a great trip to Greece and Turkey where I took many photos and painted a few sites.

I continue with my James Julier landscape tutorials and learn something new about painting with Procreate from each.  I highly recommend the fellow!  I typically use the Artstudio Pro app for portrait and figurative painting on the iPad because that's what I learned first.  I like both apps and often send the final products to my models as they can print them out or not. I miss my portrait model group but I still have my ADSO nude models once a month.

I am always amazed at how much I have done in the past 6 months....so glad these 48 paintings are not stacked up in the studio.

And now we are getting ready for a great trip to Portugal so I need to update before too much time passes!
