March 2024 and time to update!

The last update of this blog was Nov. 2023 just before our month-long adventure to SE Asia and Christmas with our son and daughter-in-law.  I have only painted digital pics since then and continue to love the medium. It is incredibly portable and I still love my tutorials with James Julier. I have cleaned up my studio in case we get to move but am feeling the urge to do one more oil painting...we will see...  In the mean time we are preparing for a month in Greece, etc so I am sure I will take a few more reference photos. 

It's November...guess it is update time!

 Obviously,  I am not into blogging and I do not think many people look at these posts.  Updates force me to recall how to post these paintings I guess.  This year has been good in spite of missing my model group.  We had a lovely monthly trip to France with lots of museums and galleries and inspiring views. We are getting ready for a month in Southeast Asia and will visit with both of my kids and their spouses so I am excited.  I have read some good books, done many digital paintings, enjoyed learning about AI, and have had many happy months with my hubby doing the daily business of living.  Not bad!

Four Months and Time to Update

Our model group disbanded several months ago due to lack of participation and though sad, I can always find photo refs of people or friends to paint.  I have recently enjoyed the many Procreate tutorials by James Julier on YouTube and a few others for Art Studio Pro.  I have loved switching to digital because it is so compact!  My studio does not fill with unsold canvases but I can now print out digital works and they are just like nice giclees of originals.  I am adding a few below that I have enjoyed painting. 

Eight months since last update!

Don't know why I am slow in updating but maybe it is because I don't think this is seen by anyone but me!  At least it is a record of work....

 Believe it or not...this is not all the paintings I have done in the past 8 months!  I am obsessed with digital painting but always push myself to draw with traditional materials.  Painting with the IPAD is my new love as it is so portable and I do not end up with lots of canvases.  I now give away all the original model paintings if the model likes them...
