Painting from afar using photos rather than models and VERY minimal supplies. Good to see I can "travel light." For me, one of the beauties of art and painting is the total distraction....it demands my utmost concentration..at least for a time...I get to choose my focus.....

Figurative Artists Atelier at Foster Gallery
Two Pastels
I completed these two pastel paintings just before we departed for a long trip in late May to Switzerland, Germany and Budapest. We had a great time and went to so many museums, galleries, castles, .....totally inspiring. Took hundreds of photos but took no time to paint...maybe some studio time is in order!

I did these watercolors over the past few weeks and really enjoyed them as a change from oil and pastel. There is always so much to learn by switching mediums and each has their own special pleasure.
Mari, George, and Norah are my models here and the goal was to create a more "finished" wc painting rather than just a sketch
Green Wave
I really enjoyed. doing a studio painting using recent photo references. I may do more as they are very relaxing. Oil on Canvas 24 x 24
